One World Running helped the city of Baracoa, Cuba, celebrate its 500th anniversary by putting on the first annual La Farola "Marathon," a 31K up and down an engineering marvel of a road called La Farola. Many of the best runners from the island showed up for the event, part of a yearly festival. Each runner received a pair of shoes, shorts, socks and singlet; a big gracias to Pearl Izumi, Newton, and all who contributed.
